During my trip to Jakarta, there was a lot of traffic (like usual)! I stayed at my family's home there and the mall is very close, but it took a long time to get there. If there was no traffic, it would take around 10 minutes, but during the afternoon rush hour it took around 1-2 hours! It was a very long ride... Too me though I thought it was worth it. There is a bunch of malls so there should be tons of fun especially if you are a big shopper. If you want something else than shopping or malls then the best areas are probably very far from the main city. But if you love malls, there are name brand shops and even ice skating rinks, bookstores, quality food, and arcades! At one of the malls, there is a frozen yogurt stand that is called Sour Sally (I'm pretty sure it is called that) and they serve a charcoal yogurt which is very yummy but is black so it stains your teeth a little! They say that the charcoal is supposed to be good for your health (I'm saying the truth! They do put real charcoal) because it soaks up the bad stuff in your body.
